Scope before commitment Requirements explained
01 / THE BIG PICTURE

The right support.
With the details in view.

Turn the partners’ commercial understanding into a clear deed and assess registration with the relevant Registrar of Firms. We organise the business, capital, authority and exit terms, then check state-specific execution, stamp and registration requirements rather than treating every partnership as an MCA incorporation.

First, establish what applies

Entity formation, tax registrations and optional recognition schemes are different steps. Udyam and Startup India recognition do not replace incorporation or operating licences.

What the scoped work can cover

  • Reviewed partnership deed
  • State registration application pack
  • Registration evidence, if granted, and related registration checklist
02 / GET READY

The documents.
A clearer starting point.

Use this as a preparation list for the initial review. The final checklist is confirmed against the applicant, service route, location and current authority requirements.

PAN and identity proof of proposed Indian subscribers or partners

  2. 02

Current residential address proof and contact details of proposed signatories

  3. 03

Draft partnership terms covering capital, profit share, authority and exit

  4. 04

Share sensitive records only through an agreed secure channel after the engagement is confirmed. Do not send passwords, OTPs or signing keys.

03 / HOW IT MOVES FORWARD

One step.
Then the next.

A clear sequence, with room to resolve the details that are specific to your business.

  1. 01

    Agree the operating terms

Confirm capital, profit sharing, banking authority and partner responsibilities.

  2. 02

    Draft the deed

Record admission, retirement, disputes and dissolution provisions.

  3. 03

    Execute for the state

Review stamping, signatures and the Registrar’s documentary requirements.

  4. 04

    Track registration

Prepare the submission and organise queries or registration evidence where applicable.

Scope, fees and timing are agreed after review. Document readiness, professional review and any authority queries affect the schedule. Statutory charges, testing, execution and other third-party costs are identified where relevant.

04 / BEYOND THIS STEP

Keep the next
responsibility in view.

Keep the deed, PAN, bank mandate and registrations consistent. Document new partners, revised profit sharing and retirement rather than relying on verbal arrangements.

05 / A LITTLE MORE CLARITY

Good questions.
Useful answers.

01Does a partnership provide limited liability?+

An ordinary partnership does not provide the same liability structure as an LLP. Understand the partners’ exposure before choosing it.

02Is the registration route identical in every state?+

No. Registrar procedures, stamp duty and local documentary requirements need a state-specific review.

03Can the deed be changed later?+

Yes. Record agreed changes in the appropriate instrument and assess updates to the Registrar, bank and tax registrations.
