Payroll & salary compliance.

Organise payroll records, deductions and employee-related reporting.

Scope before commitment Requirements explained
01 / THE BIG PICTURE

The right support.
With the details in view.

Payroll brings attendance, contractual pay, statutory deductions and accounting together. The review establishes who is on payroll, which rules cover the establishment and how each pay period is approved. Salary processing and the employer’s separate tax, social security and record-keeping obligations are scoped together.

First, establish what applies

Coverage depends on the establishment, employee count, wages, location and current labour provisions. State registrations and professional tax are not uniform across India.

What the scoped work can cover

  • Payroll applicability and input review
  • Approved salary and deduction workings
  • Payslip and period-close records within scope
02 / GET READY

The documents.
A clearer starting point.

Use this as a preparation list for the initial review. The final checklist is confirmed against the applicant, service route, location and current authority requirements.

  1. 01

Employee master, joining dates, work locations and agreed pay structures

  2. 02

Attendance, leave, overtime and variable-pay approvals for the period

  3. 03

Previous payroll registers, payslips and opening balances

  4. 04

Applicable tax, EPF, ESI and state registration details

  5. 05

Approved reimbursements, advances and exit settlement records

Share sensitive records only through an agreed secure channel after the engagement is confirmed. Do not send passwords, OTPs or signing keys.

03 / HOW IT MOVES FORWARD

One step.
Then the next.

A clear sequence, with room to resolve the details that are specific to your business.

  1. 01

    Map the payroll rules

Review locations, employee categories, pay components and statutory coverage.

  2. 02

    Reconcile the inputs

Match attendance, approved changes and prior balances before calculating pay.

  3. 03

    Review the payroll run

Prepare a salary and deduction working for employer approval and payment instructions.

  4. 04

    Close the period

Retain approved payroll reports, payslips and agreed statutory filing or payment records.

Scope, fees and timing are agreed after review. Document readiness, professional review and any authority queries affect the schedule. Statutory charges, testing, execution and other third-party costs are identified where relevant.

04 / BEYOND THIS STEP

Keep the next
responsibility in view.

Maintain a monthly approval trail, reconcile deductions with deposits and review salary changes, new hires, exits and changes in workforce coverage.

Explore obligations beyond your core business
05 / A LITTLE MORE CLARITY

Good questions.
Useful answers.

01Does payroll processing include EPF, ESI and TDS filings?+

Only when those workstreams are expressly included. Salary calculation, statutory payment and return filing have separate records and responsibilities.

02Can one salary structure be used in every state?+

Work locations, wage rules, professional tax and employment terms may differ. The payroll setup must reflect the actual establishment and workforce.

03What if a past payroll period has an error?+

Review the underlying attendance, contract and deductions first. Corrections may affect employee payments, accounts and statutory records.
