Invoice format review.

Review the transaction details and tax-related fields needed for your invoicing workflow.

Scope before commitment Requirements explained
01 / THE BIG PICTURE

The right support.
With the details in view.

An invoice review checks whether your billing format captures the transaction information needed for the business’s actual tax and sales workflow. GST status, supply type, location and invoicing obligations influence the fields required. A polished layout alone does not validate classification, tax rates, e-invoice eligibility or the accuracy of the underlying transaction.

First, establish what applies

Documents should reflect the transaction, parties, location and applicable law. Drafting, legal advice, disputes, execution, stamping and registration need appropriate professional review; a template alone does not complete those steps.

What the scoped work can cover

  • Reviewed invoice field structure
  • Sample-format correction notes
  • Billing and tax-validation checklist
02 / GET READY

A useful brief.
A stronger starting point.

Bring these inputs and existing records to the drafting discussion. They help turn a standard format into a document that reflects your situation.

  1. 01

Business and customer details with relevant GST registrations

  2. 02

Sample domestic, export or other representative transactions

  3. 03

Product or service codes and tax-treatment assumptions

  4. 04

Current invoice template, numbering and accounting workflow

  5. 05

E-invoicing, credit-note and payment process information

Share sensitive records only through an agreed secure channel after the engagement is confirmed. Do not send passwords, OTPs or signing keys.

03 / HOW IT MOVES FORWARD

One step.
Then the next.

A clear sequence, with room to resolve the details that are specific to your business.

  1. 01

    Identify invoice types

Review registration status and the actual supply scenarios.

  2. 02

    Check required fields

Compare sample bills with applicable invoice particulars and special cases.

  3. 03

    Review system consistency

Check numbering, tax calculations and accounting or e-invoice dependencies.

  4. 04

    Prepare implementation notes

List format corrections and transaction issues needing separate tax confirmation.

Scope, fees and timing are agreed after review. Document readiness, professional review and any authority queries affect the schedule. Statutory charges, testing, execution and other third-party costs are identified where relevant.

04 / BEYOND THIS STEP

Keep the next
responsibility in view.

Test the corrected format in the accounting system and reassess it when registrations, products or invoicing rules change.

Explore obligations beyond your core business
05 / A LITTLE MORE CLARITY

Good questions.
Useful answers.

01Is there one compulsory invoice design?+

Required particulars matter more than a single visual design. The applicable fields vary with the document and transaction.

02Does this decide the correct GST rate?+

Rate, classification and place-of-supply advice require a transaction-specific tax review; a format check does not settle them.

03Does a PDF invoice satisfy e-invoicing rules?+

A PDF alone does not complete the prescribed e-invoice process where it applies. Eligibility and system requirements need review.
